THE MAX LEVINE ENSEMBLE - OK Smartypants CD

Finally a record by this band that actually sounds close to how good they are live.  This three-piece fits into the punk side of the Plan-it-X family with bands like FUTURE VIRGINS, CARRIE NATIONS, and THE BANANAS.  Pop punk with fast drums, driving bass, frantic guitars, and a sense of urgency.  It flows really fast, too, with the songs leading into each other, which gives it a lot of their live energy.  I got the tape version right before the first warm day of the year and it was the perfect soundtrack  for biking around the city.  Summer, like the season starts off so good that I actually get excited when I hear the song before it, knowing it's only about 45 seconds away.  FIL (Plan-it-X Records)
